Featured Android App Review: Flipboard

Fortunately for applications that came along to play great online. While Google Reader is useful to collect the contents of a variety of online sources, experience is utilitarian. Of course, it works. It works very well, but this is not a design that immediately draws you in.

Contrast Reader with Flipboard, and it is easy to see why the application is comments like high user base growing Android. Flipboard began as an iPhone app, and it has been very cautious in its migration to the Android system. Even now, I can install the application on my phone but not on my tablet. (Flipboard currently has no plan to move to the Android tablet market, if it is available for the Nexus 7.)

Description: Flipboard is described as a "social news magazine" and not just an RSS reader. If you only want to have a single place to be able to access your social media accounts, you can use Flipboard. If you only want to read articles stored in your Google Reader account, you can use Flipboard for a nice interface.

Flipboard works with a wide range of services, including Reader, Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, and many others. The idea is simple. Flipboard creates a series of pages of your connected networks that you can easily browse for quick browsing or reading experience more depth.

How it works: With the default configuration Flipboard, users receive news and entertainment streams Flipboard. Simply by selecting the image, users can read the full article or update status. Flipboard foods are curated efforts that are definitely worth your time to look through.

The real strength lies in Flipboard additional accounts that can be linked in. By "flipping" the second page (drag the bottom of the screen upwards), users can add their own social media and new son by clicking "More" square. Click on "Accounts", and you're on your way. (See the screenshot below.) From the accounts page, you can choose virtually any social network you use, or you can add another stream of curated Flipboard.

If you're the kind of Google Reader or social media that creates lists and folders on your reading segment (Articles peak in a single folder, high school friends in a list of social media), then you'll love again Flipboard more. Not only can you select the main power of each network connected, but you can also choose specific lists or select Web feeds. Whether you want to put Android Headlines RSS feed or any Android Headlines currents of social media on your selected playlist in Flipboard, you can easily do so.

When you look at your list of items, you can click on any one to implement a full version of the article (or at least as much of the article, the RSS reader or RSS social media allows). If there is still additional material to read this article or if you want to play a video, simply click on the link to the article or the "View the original article" "link to access the application native to this material. Unlike some other RSS readers Flipboard does not use his own browser to view an article or a video link. Flipboard will rely on web browsers, social media applications and YouTube to provide an experience native for the equipment.

By not trying to do too much, Flipboard is able to remain a pleasant user experience. The app does allow some interactivity with social media services like to "like", "one", or even retweet an update that you want.

Opinion :- This is by far my favorite way to read the news on the phone. This is a simple, beautiful presentation, and it makes pleasant reading. In the same way that Facebook is a unity to the diversity of information that serves Flipboard simplifies the design of websites and blogs to create a comfortable reading experience.

I'd love to have extra functionality to allow reports on Facebook and Twitter to be considered "read". After an update, I do not see that the new status when scanning through the system later. If this parameter is not there, I was not able to find it.

Ratings :-

  • Speed (4/5) - The pictures may take some time to load when flipping through a few pages rapidly, but the networks are well integrated.
  • Features (5/5) - Flipboard has extensive connectivity with social media and RSS feeds.
  • Theme (5/5) - A beautiful display. A clean clear reading experience.
  • General (5/5) - This is not the only application that I use to read RSS feeds and social media, but it is certainly one of the prettiest.

Benefits :-

  • Simple, clean presentation
  • Wide range of connectivity with social media accounts
  • Easier to use Facebook on the Android Facebook application

Less :-

  • The photos may take some time to load if you try to quickly browse pages.
  • No support shelf.

Conclusion :- If you use Google Reader on your phone, you should definitely give it a try Flipboard. The service syncs perfectly with Reader to read your articles will not continue to appear in Reader or Flipboard, unless you return to your search previous articles. The social media accounts are also, although I mainly use Flipboard to read article. Check it out on the Play store for free.
