Android 4.1.2 update makes way to Samsung and Motorola devices

Android 4.1.2 update might give way to Jelly Bean’s successor

Android 4.1.2 update is steadily rolling out for other devices after the release on Nexus 7. The latest devices to receive the Android Jelly Bean update are Motorola Xoom, Samsung Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S. Android 4.1.2 update is a minor upgrade which brings bug fixes and stability improvements for the Android system.

Nexus 7 was the first device to receive the Android 4.1.2 update as a solution for the landscape feature on the tablet. The Jelly Bean update was available unofficially yesterday, though the notification for the upgrade appeared today. Android 4.1.2 update was utilised by some users in the form of an OTA feature, which had to be installed manually.

With the Android 4.1.2 update still rolling out for devices, Android Police stated that a 4.2 version of the operating system was under development. The Android 4.2 update is expected to feature ‘Quick Settings’ menu referring to notification power controls for radios, brightness and other custom rows applications.

The successor of Android 4.1.2 update is also rumoured to feature a revamped version of Google mail application. Android 4.2 is alleged to introduce changes which will help in the accessibility of the notifications and power controls in the hour of need on an Android operated system.

Nexus S smartphone users in the US and Canada were reported to receive the Android 4.1.2 update. With the Jelly Bean update making its way to other devices could the rumours about Android 4.2 be true?
